MSC Molecular Biosciences: Neuroscience Major Structure of the Program
In total, the program takes two years to complete; four semesters in total (although with careful planning it can be done in three semesters). In the first semester there are some general courses covering the basics of molecular biosciences and some specialisation modules. Moreover there are several short introductory courses in the field of neurosciences: neuroanatomy, data science and analysis for neuroscientists and a practical approach to neuronal networks. In the second semester there are two courses focusing much more in depth on Neuroscience. During both these semesters, you can/should also do a lab rotation within one of the different labs of the IZN.
The third semester would be most suited to do a lab rotation abroad. Then, in the fourth semester, you will write your master’s thesis with one of the neuroscience research groups associated to the program.
